Animaza Studios Completes Peter and the Goblin Arrow: First Feature Animated Film Made in Miami Since 1941, Animated by a Single Filmmaker

 

MIAMI, FL — December 1, 2025 — Animaza Studios today announced the completion of its debut feature-length animated film, Peter and the Goblin Arrow. The film marks a historic moment, being the first animated feature to be fully produced in Miami, Florida, since Fleischer Studios' Mr. Bug Goes to Town in 1941.

Adding to this milestone, the entire 84-year drought was broken by the dedication of a single individual: filmmaker and Animaza Studios founder, George Carvalho, who conceived, designed, and animated the entire project himself.

The feature film, a fantasy-adventure, took over three years to complete and is now headed for the international film festival circuit.

 

Synopsis

 

Peter and the Goblin Arrow is an animated fantasy film about a boy who must save his father. When a mighty Dwarven warrior falls victim to a goblin's poisoned arrow, his weakling son Peter must embark on a perilous quest to gather the rare ingredients needed to save his father’s life before dawn breaks and all hope is lost.

"It took over three years to make and it was a huge technical challenge," said George Carvalho. "But when I see the final results, it's as if a minor miracle has taken place."
